● Features
Strasbourg uses a flat fare system rather than a zone-based one. The city is especially known for its extensive tram network, which is widely used by local residents and has made Strasbourg a globally recognized success story in modern tram infrastructure. Thanks to this well-developed network, most tourist attractions are easily accessible by tram or bus. Strasbourg is located near the German border, and Tram Line D extends all the way to Kehl, Germany. In addition to Tram D, you can also reach Kehl from Strasbourg via TER regional trains operated by SNCF (France) or S-Bahn trains operated by Deutsche Bahn (Germany). However, if you travel from Strasbourg to Kehl using TER or S-Bahn, you must use a valid ticket from either the French or German rail networks. The tickets listed below allow travel between Strasbourg and Kehl on Tram D, but do not permit travel on TER or S-Bahn services for that route.

Unlike the stub-end platforms commonly seen at major stations in large French cities, this station features island platforms. By using the high-speed TGV trains, you can access major cities such as Paris and Marseille. Due to its proximity to the German border, trains to and from Germany frequently arrive and depart. Although less frequent, there are also TGV services running via Paris CDG Airport to Brussels, Belgium. The station has 13 tracks in total. Tram lines A and D have their platforms located underground, while line C’s platforms are at ground level.
